Poplar wood is not suitable for veneer or other uses and/or applications due to its irregularities, creating a product of very high technical and decorative value.
For the manufacture of LIGNUM, the wood is transformed into small chips or shavings, which are then pressed with polyurethane resins and completely free of phenols and formaldehyde. Afterwards, they are oriented lengthwise by mechanical and air processes, a special pressing is carried out and by injecting steam at high pressure we obtain a homogeneous board throughout its mass. On request, it can be produced in fireproof quality C s1 d0.
LIGNUM is a surprisingly large board (8200 x 620 mm and thicknesses between 30 and 100 mm) and its beauty, made of 100% oriented poplar shavings.
It is a board whose main use and application is structural, although its function can be combined with decorative applications.
In addition, it is also an interesting new option for use as a high-level decorative technical panel, due to its aesthetic uniqueness and extraordinary mechanical resistance values, such as for making tables, shelves, counters, and an endless number of applications for the world of contract, retail, etc.
Sustainability: our LIGNUM panels by using logs from veneer processing rejects, we contribute to making the world a more sustainable place. Our raw material is 100% plantation wood and through a new technical process, we look for ways to fully utilise it, developing products to help reduce the waste of the most irregular or imperfect parts of the wood.
